Password Generator
I just made a quick tool for generating strong passwords quickly. It’s hosted at http://pwdtool.belfryimages.com.au. Now I should probably have written something to remind me where I left my keys… hmm….

I like it Ben, nice colours and simple to use. Just a suggestion though, if you put the results into a textarea it’d be easier to copy

Thanks Jylan. Don’t know if a text box would make it easier, you still need to select the password before you can copy it. If there’s no special characters used you can just double click, ctrl-c the way it is.

Right, yes is quite easy to do it that way. I know some websites have a textarea setup with JS so when you click inside it automatically copies whatever content is in it.
How are you anyway? Last time we talked you’d just bought a house in Rocky and were renovating it, must be looking good now.

I looked into that and AFAIK letting JS read and write to the clipboard is a security issue, IE is the only one that allowed it without having to enable it explicitly in the browser.
ah the joys. I saw you are at Almost Anything, good stuff.
I’m good, but the thing about owning a house it that there’s always something else to be done

Re the security issue, right yes I see how it could be. Heh yeah I’m sure there is always something to do around a house, jobs must keep popping up all the time. Yep working at Almost Anything which is pretty cool. Are you secretly following me on Twitter or something?
